Comprehensive school
Parents and children together can choose the comprehensive school they think is best for the child. This can be the school in your area or some other school.
Comprehensive school comprises preschool class and nine-year compulsory schooling. Preschool class is voluntary preparation for compulsory school offered within the public school system. School childcare with recreation centres is included as an integrated part of almost all schools. The municipality is obliged to offer all children a place in preschool class from the autumn term of the year the child turns 6.
The City of Trollhättan has organised its comprehensive schools into five areas with a shared administration: the West, East, South and Central areas, and the Area for pupil support.
